 It's Simple- Please Read This

You'll find a board like this on every discussion forum on the web. In almost two years I've not even discussed having a "Rules of the Board" thread with Linda or any of the moderators. We're a little different here. We feel that trappers for the most part are better-than-average folks who generally remain civil in their actions. We don't need "rules" per say- we are self-policed, and for the most part our system has worked well.

If you have issues with someone on the board, call them on the phone- or at least PM them. I'll guarantee you that flexing muscles on a discussion forum will never do anyone any good. Then again, this is America and I'll tell you that you will never find a more devout following for the right to free speech than the folks here. Just keep it civil and to the point; no "I heard, he said" drivel. One sword sharpens the other, but we can be constructive in our criticisms.

No rules. Okay, maybe ONE rule. In our almost two years we have on occasion played host to folks who like to join up, jump in with both barrels blazing, then jump back out again. That is an action I will not tolerate anymore. Your opinion is welcome, even if it's a "little inflammatory" (Again, as long as we can stay constructive and civil). To the person who uses our little site to flame, bash and accuse, only to leave until it's time to do it again, meanwhile never posting any positive information to help the board, I will not let you post here.

And that folks is something I absolutely do not want to do. Thank you.

As the site is growing, we are bound to encounter more issues.

We have lots of new members, many that are a long ways from Missouri. While this will always be a Missouri-based site, we welcome constructive palaver with you folks. Some of ya'll have been awesome. There is however some folks that are finding us after having been banned from other sites. I will not ban someone based on that- you'll get your chance here.

My point is, and I'm sure I speak for all of the moderators, is that we're getting a little short-fused of late. Be nice. No nasty posts. We're not Puritans, but we won't tolerate debauchery. We won't tolerate racial slurs. Ya'll know what I mean.
