Lawrence Delmar Logue Sr., age 82 of Keytesville, MO died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his home at Lake Nehai. Delmar was born at Marceline, MO on October 23, 1927 to Clarence and Lena (Edie) Logue. He married Mary Louise Jackson on June 21, 1945 at Linneus and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1992. Delmar was a farmer. He also worked in construction, real estate, and for fifty years as a fur buyer. He was a member of the National Riffle Association, Trappers Association, Lake Nehai Association, served on the Board of Directors of Lake Nehai Property Owners Association, was a 4-H leader for many years, a member of Marceline First Baptist Church and attended Musselfork Community Church, and was an area resident all his life. He is survived by two sons, L. Delmar Logue Jr. and wife Carol Lee, Keytesville, MO; Harold D. Logue and wife Carol Sue, Marceline, MO; three daughters, Joann Mott and husband Cecil, Marceline, MO; Diane Twyman, Salisbury, MO; and Zedina Kabler and husband Ron, Roselle, IL; special friend Leona Payne, Marceline, MO; twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, two brothers, son-in-law Donald Twyman, and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, July 19, 2010 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rev. Rick Hall and Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Burial will be in Locke Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Shon Logue, Eric Logue, Jeremy Kabler Sr., Aaron Kabler, Donnie Twyman, Brandon Logue, Dustin Logue, and Andy Logue and honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Melinda K. Twyman, Suzan McMinn, Candis Norris and Jennifer Kabler. The family suggests memorials may be made to Musselfork Community Church Building Fund or Locke Cemetery Association and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, Missouri 64658.
