I have a lot of stuff from the 1800s. Is that the "old" you are talking about?

I have tons like that. One of my hobbies is old photo restoration and colorizing. I lost everything in my house fire this summer but it was all dog related. Now that I'm into fur/trapping, I am starting to build my collection again.

Go to google....click up top on "more".....click on " books" and there are 100s of issues of FF&G that are 100 years old. Awsome pictures of long departed trappers and their catches.

LOL Paleo! I have a great "anti-trapping" collection too. But it was NOT "antis" that instigated, it was trappers. Commercial trappers were wiping out populations of animals. And the methods used, were things like setting traps around a large area, and then setting fire to habitat.
The Great Flood (Mississippi) of 1927 (worst flood in US history) was a commercial trappers heaven! Normal trappers were devastated for years to come as it took many years for the species to establish themselves again after commercial trappers wiped them out.
Migratory bird laws and their history is also very "colorful."
