I've caught 1000's of coon in 1 1/2 dukes, and this is not an issue. And actually helps keep the coon from being able to work on his foot as easily. Clean up the dog, and notch, add swivel and go

The firt dukes I bought did have a problem with the pan hitting the levers ..at times they wouldn't even close at all. However, after a sho9rt time they raised the pan assy. a bit and I have had no more problem with them at all. When i first seen what they had done I was upset, but after useing them I really liked them as they are now.

As I said on a previous post, I got a dozen #2 dukes and had to modify EVERYTHING on them. I would have been time and $ ahead to buy a solid block of steel and whittle a whole new trap from the ground up. I understand that some of you need 100s of traps so a dollar each is a big deal but not me. Supertrap has used Sleepy Creeks for sale for a new duke price. Now theres a trap. Duke holds the title as the cheapest trap in the industry. The one mod I suggest is to change the OWNER. Works like a champ.......
